Blue Moon

Chapter 7
Respond from prediction

My last response from chapter 6 had me thinking that Ever was going to blow off either Miles play or Damen's dinner, but I was wrong both ways, neither happened. What actually happened was that Ever brought Damen to the play then after they were supposed to go to dinner. Then, after the play was finished Damen went to get the car and drove off and left Ever stranded at the school. She was searching for hours of where he could be, but never found him. In the chapter I felt bad for Ever. I thought what I would feel if a person I loved just left me wondering where he or she went.

Chapter: 6
Predictions for next Chapter

At the end of the chapter Ever agrees to go to dinner with her boyfriend Damen. I predict for the next chapter that she remembers that she promised her friend Miles that she would go to see his play. Going to this dinner gets in the way of the play. I think she'll go to the play and blow off Damen or the other way around.  Either way Ever will end up with trouble and will her someone upset.

Chapter 2
Response: Do you agree with the actions of the characters? Can you make connections to the text from real life, other stories, or ideas?

Ask an adult this question "what was the worst years of your life?" and I bet they'd answer teenager. When you’re a teen your life is changing and so are your friends. One day you're hanging out with them like there's no tomorrow, and the next they're rolling their eyes at you in the hallway. It's the time you start figuring out who your real friends are, but sometimes parents forget about it and they can't relate. In this chapter Ever is feeling this way and feel complicated with her Aunt Sabine.

The two main characters in this chapter were Ever and her aunt who is her only family that's left named Sabine. She's grilling her about how she thinks she's not eating and about her boyfriend Damen. I totally agreed with Ever's actions. I can make connections because sometimes my parents or siblings grill me with questions that are uncomfortable. Also, this could relate to many stories or movies about a teenager usually.

The thing parents need to do is step back and think about what it was like when they were younger. When their kids and tired, moody, or quiet parents start asking questions and so times to many question. That's the time when the teenagers feel alone and like they have no one to turn to. I can relate to this almost everyday of my life.
